How to us Quick Assist on Windows for Remote Help

This is great for one-time assistance, as it requires someone on the host PC to approve and share a code.

On the Helper PC:

  1. Search for Quick Assist in the Start menu (or press Win Key + Ctrl + Q).
  2. Choose Assist another person.
  3. Sign into Microsoft if prompted.
  4. A 6-digit code will be provided on the screen.

On the remote PC to connect to:

  1. Search for Quick Assist in the Start menu (or press Win Key + Ctrl + Q).
  2. Choose Get help.
  3. Enter the code that the Helper gives you.
  4. The Help will ask for to Take Full control which you must approve.
