Sage 100Cloud How to Install a Workstation Set up for Advanced version 2019.

Question: We are a Sage 100 2019 Advanced user, can you explain the benefits of Advanced over Standard how and can we install Sage 100Cloud Advanced Workstation?

Answer: Regarding the benefits of using Advanced. If you are a Sage 100Cloud Subscription Customer, Sage will allow you to convert your subscription to Advanced from Standard. The benefit of Advance is it is Client Server based, which means it will run at the speed of your server and not through the Network and at the speed of the Workstation which is how Standard Works. We have converted many of our clients over the last year because of this benefit.

1. As far as the Workstation install, we have detailed below the installation. First of all on the server that the Sage 100 2019 program is installed you will need to do a Share of the folder above the MAS90 folder. Example parent folder of the MAS90 folder might be called Sage 2019. You will want to right click on that folder, share it and give full permissions for the users that will be accessing Sage 100.
2. Through Windows Explorer go to the drive where the MAS90 folder is and to the Wksetup folder. Go to autorun, right click and run as Administrator.
3.  You will see as below and click on Install Sage 100 Advanced Workstation.

4. Click Next.

5.  Then click Next using Recommended.

6. Then you will set the Workstation local folder and click Next.

7. Then set the Server name where Sage 100 is running and click Next.

8. Then set the Port ID and click Next.

9. Then set location of the Server Path and click Next.

10. Then start the Installation.

11. It will Finish

12. Then you can got to Programs and click on the Sage Program and start it.

13. The Workstation will first start with Workstation Synchronization and then the program should open.
